Indirect interpreting: Stumbling block or stepping stone?

Abstract Indirect interpreting, known by practitioners as ‘relay’, takes place in contexts where interpreting between two languages is carried out means of a third, pivot language, thus creating communicative chain interpreters: the one rendering an original speech into and other first’s version different target language. Relay used many multilingual settings to ensure that all interlocutors can use their mother tongue, European Union institutions are prominent example such settings. reality professionals deal with on daily basis.
